Tag Tuesday...a day late!

Not one of my favourite colours but I had fun making this tag.
I fussy cut the peacock  feather and added a stamp (both courtesy of June @ Dezinaworld) . The rest of the supplies are from a Glitterati Crafts Inspiration Pack...background paper, mesh, peacock, ribbon and round flower centre.

I made the tag after the football last night.....

Not Mojo Monday

No, my mojo hasn't gone on holiday again....

This week I haven't used a Mojo Monday sketch but one from Twisted Sketches..

Sorry about the rather poor photo quality...you shouldn't need to use flash in June should you?

I used papers, paint, lace and flowers from the June Kit @ Flying Unicorn.
I made the sign myself from chipboard using a TH die.

Anyhoo..the photos are of the statue of King Alfred in Wantage. We weren't overly impressed with the town but it did have a couple of things going for it...a wonderful second hand bookshop and The Stamp Attic. I'd spotted an ad in Craft Stamper for the shop, hence the visit.....DH was given a chair while I browsed.....I wasn't that long...honest!!

Birthday Card for DH

A few days early (his b'day is 20th and, yes, some years his b'day is also Father's Day) but I'm entering this into  two challenges...chipboard on Flying Unicorn and Vintage on Scrapology

I made the chipboard flourish using a TH die (and a sheet of chipboard - bet you didn't guess that!! lol).
The paper is from the Grace Taylor "Vintage Collection" and was coloured using TH distress ink in "Old Paper".
Image is a cab card from Dezinaworld, alpha is a vintage one from Crafty Secrets, hessian ribbon from stash (made by John Lewis), vintage button from stash along with watch parts etc.

It's only taken me three days to make this....lack of time and enthusiasm I'm afraid plus distractions...quiz (we were second!!!) and football being the main ones.

Going to start (and hopefully finish either tonight or tomorrow) a LO now.
Then I might do an altering project.....haven't yet done a tag for Tuesday...still trying to come up with something different..and green (the theme) so isn't a favourite of mine..:(

Return of the Mojo

Last week was a weird one...I had lovely papers, photos, sketches etc. but just couldn't settle or summon up the energy...

We had our Jubilee street party...in the pouring rain...but it was still fun..

We went to the quiz....joint leaders at one time we finished up, not last but close...this time it was action figures from TV/Films....too long since we've watched that sort of thing...sigh

I spent the day in Bristol with the boy....and got cold and very wet...again....
I'd had enough after a couple of hours....I hate shopping....
I managed to get to one of the craft shops and did a little bit of stash shopping...:)
We found the other one (all three floors of it) on our way back to meet up with DH....and I didn't even have the energy to cross the road and go in......so not me.
I enjoyed seeing the boy and taking him to lunch..he had to dash off before we could take him to dinner (DH's alleged "30 mins" of work, actually took seven and a half hours). It was Vicki's final exhibition and he couldn't miss that.
We didn't get home until 20:30.....and then went out to eat...

I managed to make a baby boy card over the weekend....thanks to Virginia for the mini kit...:)

I started a challenge LO over the weekend too...and finally finished it last night

I used scraps of Kaisercraft and Webster's pages plus buttons and a butterfly from stash and flowers by Prima,Petaloo,Manor House.
The tickets were cut with a TH die and stamped using Unity stamps.
Photo is DH's paternal grandparents and their four children.
DH  only ever met one of his uncles as the family (apart from DH's father) moved to the USA after WW2.
The sketch is by Kristine Davidson of Creative Scrappers

I have lots more challenges to do and am also going to Scrap Club on Friday (first time since February)...so will hopefully have more to show you soon

No Tag Tuesday as the theme was "Camping"......I don't do camping!

Tag Tuesday

The theme this week is The Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
I again used my free papers from "Simply Homemade" and added a red ribbon and bell from a chocolate reindeer.

I hope you're all enjoying the long weekend and have been able to celebrate...our street party has been moved forward by half an hour in light of the weather forecast....fingers crossed the rain holds off!!
