The theme this week is "Bunting and Flags"
A fairly simple one from me using free papers and die cuts from "Simply Homemade" magazine.
On Saturday we went to Benson so that we could walk Max beside the river. There were signs directing people away from a swan's nest.....and then we spotted the family on the river.......the cygnet was soooooo cute and the parents very, very protective....much hissing as photos were taken!

Mojo Monday (BOGOF)
It's another glorious day (weather wise) and time to share some crafting....
The LOs and tags have all been made for challenges on Flying Unicorn
First up is a LO about DH's grandfather using the sketch from 30th April.

I used papers by Kaisercraft and Melissa Frances from the May kit "Sweet Embrace" plus assorted flowers.
Sadly, we don't have much info to go with the photos....
Using papers and flowers from the same kit this is the sketch from 14th May.
Photo is of DH's parents on their wedding day.
And now for some tags....made for Week 4 of the "May Flower Fantasy"
The background papers are from June at Dezinaworld.
Flowers, ribbon, trims and lace are from my stash.
Hopefully I'll be crafting again this evening!

Tag Tuesday
This week the theme is "Found Objects".
A simple tag using an image from a book on Tennyson, decorated with some old earrings and a random pearl.
Pleased to be able to say the weather is improving and I had my coffee on the patio this morning.

Penny's ATC Challenge - May
Out of my comfort zone with this one.......don't I sound just like Adam on "The Apprentice"....lol!
I did my first ever image transfer (using gel medium) - not perfect but better than expected as I did it onto canvas.
So, a chunky ATC..with images transferred from a gardening book, trimmed with lace from stash, added flowers that I won on NSD and finished with a quote from Shakespeare.

Tag Tuesday...better late than never!
The theme this week was "gardening"..something I know even less about than sewing.....
I wasn't sure I'd make any tags but played last night with the emboss/resist technique (thought I'd start small!) and came up with these two:
Embossing done in clear/blush and then coloured with evergreen bough distress ink.
Embellies are random bits and pieces that were floating around on my table.
Funnily, the most recent theme that I felt happy about..."baking" is the one I didn't do a tag for.....I kept thinking "vintage" but couldn't bring myself to cut up any of my books...I then ran out of time.
We were back at the JR yesterday to return the heart monitor. D is back at work and trying not to stress..

Mojo Monday
This is the LO I made using the 7th May sketch.
It's also for a postcard challenge on Flying Unicorn
Vintage postcard of Ivry-sur-Seine, a suburb of Paris, scene of my first trip abroad (Ivry was the twin town of Bishop Auckland) and the start of my love affair with France.
I used Lavender and Lace papers, TH tape, token, button and swivel clasp,a lock and key, Prima flowers, some old centime coins, buttons, lace and ribbon from stash and a Girls Paperie alpha. The "instants uniques" stamp was free with a magazine.
Odd start to the week as D. was unwell last night and was taken into hospital @ midnight as a precautionary measure.
Audrey drove me to collect him this morning and he's home now but wearing a heart monitor for 24 hours.
He needs to learn to stress less and relax more....

Here's One I Made Earlier (for fellow insomniacs)
This LO somehow missed being posted on here.
Running short of photos so I used an image from Plush Possum Studio of the "Princess and the Pea"
I coloured the image with promarkers and used scraps of Girls Paperie "Vintage Whimsy" papers. Flowers and ribbon from stash.
Title (quote from the story) was printed on PC.
And here's the LO I finished yesterday:
Picture is of Brill Windmill which we visited on Sunday.
I used Pink Paislee "Butterfly Garden" papers and ephemera.
2 inch and 1 inch circle punches by Woodware
Flowers by Prima, Petaloo, Maya Road.
TH journalling ticket with my entrance ticket attached.
Both LOs are for challenges on Flying Unicorn where we're having a "May Flower Fantasy".
Speaking of "Butterfly Garden".....I'm down to my last 12 x 12 sheet of paper...I love this collection and it's been used on all sorts of LOs...:(

Mojo Monday
Here's my LO using last week's sketch - also entered for a "Who helped you bloom" challenge.
All products are from the Little Yellow Bicycle "Love Letters" collection.
My Dad was the person who helped me bloom...from teaching me to read to passing on his love of sport...and I also spent my last two years of primary school in his class ...
Saturday was National Scrapbooking Day.....after a trip out to Buckingham (more jigsaws from charity shops, more cups to turn into candles from the flea market...) I joined in with the fun and games on Flying Unicorn.
Had a really good laugh and managed to win 5 "door prizes" which will eventually land on my doormat in the shape of flowers....
Sketch I made for one challenge.
Card I made for another challenge - it will be winging its' way to the boy...he starts his final exams on Wednesday.
I sat and handmade the flowers yesterday evening.
The stick pin is vintage - picked up at an antiques fair in Brill yesterday.
I also made a tag on Saturday but won't post it until it's reached its' "victim"!!

Wednesday Giveaway
Greetings all....this happy Wednesday.
And why am I happy?....
My random # thingy luck continues and I have won some more stash..for a journalling challenge.....will post photos of the lovely prize when it wings its' way across the Atlantic....
But.....even better....I started a new book on my Kindle this morning to discover that it was dedicated to ME!!! How cool is that?
Now, onto the giveaway...
another perfectly excusable mistake...
Laura Childs writes mysteries of the "cozy" type (as the Americans call it) and I follow her three different series. An email from Amazon alerted me to a new book coming out.....checked it out and saw reference to a paperback appearing in Nov. 2011. Hm, thinks I ..don't remember getting that one....I hadn't ordered it...mainly because I bought it in hardback in Nov. 2010.....doh!!
This one is a scrapbooking mystery...always fun and with crafty tips included!
If you would like the book please leave a comment before Friday morning and I'll do a random # thingy.
I'll even include some crafty stash......
And as it's always good to leave people laughing...here is one of my FB statuses from this week :
